Qlucore was founded in 2007 by leading researchers at the Departments of Mathematics and Clinical Genetics at Lund University, Sweden. Today Qlucore has customers in about 35 countries around the world, with sales offices in Europe and North America, and distribution in several countries in Asia. Many of the leading academic institutions and pharmaceutical companies around the world use Qlucore in their research.
Qlucore is in an expansive phase and is looking for a Director of Sales Diagnostics to join their exciting journey to build up the business area internationally.
In this position you will be responsible for building the sales of Qlucore Diagnostics and establish the customer facing team for the Diagnostics business. You will secure the second wave of customers (after the first initial pioneering) and secure volume sales. You will lead the Diagnostics sales team, be part of Sales & Marketing and report to the Qlucore President and one of the founders, Carl-Johan Ivarsson.
Education and experience
We expect you to have a relevant post-secondary education, for example a Bachelor or Master’s in Science or Engineering. You are a senior sales professional, used to reaching set objectives and solving problems that arise in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment. You could also have a previous experience from the academia as a researcher now working in the industry. You have experience from working with sales and/or business development with documented sales success. You have experience from working within the diagnostics and/or cancer field. We are also looking for someone with experience from working with software, assays, panels and /or platforms like for example Genomic Health and who has, during the years, built a big international network within different platforms and constellations.
As a person we think that you have a personal drive and like to be part of building up a new business unit. You want to develop business and always see opportunities. You have the ability to attract key opinion leaders being an energetic personality together with a consultative approach. Competences that are valued high for this position are taking initiatives and responsibility, building and developing the businesses and being result-oriented. You are also a good networker that can lead, inspire and develop your personnel in a good way. You have either solid software and computer skills or have a well above average computer knowledge. Finally, you have excellent communication skills in English and preferably also in Swedish, both written and spoken.
This position is preferably located at the head quarter in Lund.
